The Saddleback women's soccer program was back in the news this week with the announcement that one of its players has made a commitment to a four-year program. Freshman Chelsea Viera made a commitment to Cal State Fullerton this past week.
Viera finished with three goals and one assist in 2018, playing in 18 games for the Gauchos. Her biggest game of the season came against Santa Ana College on September 11 when she had a goal and an assists in a 3-2 win over the Dons.
Viera came to Saddleback from Tesoro High School, where she graduated in 2018.
Cal State Fullerton plays an NCAA D1 schedule in the Big West Conference. The Titans finished 4-12-3 overall in 2018 and in ninth place in the Big West.
